In an era defined by digitization, relentless scaling, and a fixation on influence and productivity, society has found itself trapped in a whirlwind of demands. Attention, time, energy, money, and authority, these are the new currencies of power, and we are spending them faster than ever.
But amid this constant motion, many are quietly drowning.
We are swamped by an overabundance of information: advice shared without experience, “truths” offered without testing, and shallow wisdom packaged as sacred knowledge. Much of it is delivered by voices elevated not for their depth, but for their volume.
The result is a culture where fanaticism often replaces discernment, and ego is mistaken for leadership. Authority is handed to those who’ve mastered platforms, not paths. Many of today’s most prominent voices in leadership, business, spirituality, wellness, and even activism have not done the necessary work of healing, self development, introspection or lived experience. And yet they’re quick to prescribe solutions for the lost, the sick, the hopeful, the seekers, the followers, the intellectuals, the country….
This growing trend isn’t just troubling—it’s dangerous. People in moments of vulnerability are especially susceptible to the allure of confident voices, high follower counts, and algorithm-fed affirmations. Likes and shares have become stand-ins for legitimacy. Substance is increasingly sacrificed for virality.
Truth, in this climate, is no longer sacred. It has become transactional—measured in metrics, monetized, and manipulated. In some cases, it’s been reduced to little more than a branding tool.
Yet there is a quiet resistance taking shape. Those who seek with sincerity, who question with humility, who sit with the discomfort of not knowing—they are turning toward deeper wells. Toward ancestral knowledge, lived experience, and uncommodified wisdom. These are not always loud or easy to find, but they persist.
There’s a reason the old adage warns that “money is the root of all evil.” It’s not that wealth is inherently immoral, but the unchecked pursuit of it—driven by greed and power—often leads us to abandon ethics, sustainability, and truth. Too many chase profit with little regard for the environmental, social, or spiritual consequences.
If we are to recalibrate, we must begin by listening more carefully—to the Earth, to those who walk humbly, and to the quieter truths that don’t trend but endure.
In a world so focused on power, scaling, digitization and the constant shout, attention and demand for your resources (attention, energy, time, money and authority) most people have become swamped by the overwhelm of information provided without prove, untested unlived wisdom shared as sacred truth, fanatism, egotistical tendencies played out as leadership, authority and truth. I cry for our Earth, where people have become so numbed by information nothing seems to make sense. The overwhelming voices of leaders that have not humbly walked the path yet are so quick to prescribe and diagnose the seekers, the lost, the sick, the wanderers, the hopeful, the curious and all those genuinely seeking a path to enlightenment are easily hypnotized, entranced by the amount of likes, followers, noise and the shallow depths of information shared to control, to gain, to manipulate to maintain power.
Truth is far from most these days, truth has become crypto currency, social media likes, very bold and powerful statement that are empty and hollow. I seat quietly with the ancestors grateful that all truthful traditions are still accessible for those that are pure in heart, simple in spirit, rich in their souls.
